Without God you and I would destroy ourselves in sin. We are blessed with a will to choose or reject God, so we all must choose to come to God! God has made possible deliverance from eternal destruction. So, for this, we have great motivation to give the one true God a heart full of thanksgiving.

It is an honest man who gives God praise once deliverance is seen; however, it is a man who trusts God who gives God praise when deliverance is only believed and not yet seen. Remember who your great God is! Don’t replace the picture of your great God for the picture of your circumstance!

Thankfulness is not only a command that is the outcome of continual choices, but it is also acknowledgement. Thankfulness is acknowledging who I am and who God is. It is acknowledging what I have done and what God has done.

Honor God by honoring His creation! YOU and I are loved. YOU and I are blessed with Divine gifts. YOU and I are even guided along life’s journey. Sharpen your view on God’s view. May we all find great peace and point those around us to great peace – when we embrace God’s view for our lives!

Your life, the life of a child in the womb, the life of a handicapped person, and the life of an elderly human being all have struggles and imperfections – But God is rich in mercy.

So, what is meant by the term “thankfulness?” Politeness? Toleration of the undesirable? A forced smile? Satisfying one with gratitude to get what you want? The Bible says that thankfulness is…

Think about it. God can see where I cannot. God knows everything. He has no limit to His power. He is even perfect in wisdom. God has made my life the target of His love. God desires for my joy to be full. So, why not follow God’s will? Do you know what we reveal about ourselves when we follow God’s will?

Do you feel like you’ve been struggling physically, mentally, & even financially? Do you feel like you are going backwards spiritually? Ask yourself this question: What kind of emphasis has the Bible had in your heart and mind over the last month?

You and I may know in our hearts what the key to a successful life is, but if it is not true in our own lives, we will fail. For knowing it and practicing it are two different things!
