OUR DOCTRINE
Grace Baptist Church Holds To These Truths:
Scripture: We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of Scripture. We believe the Bible is both inerrant and infallible (II Tim. 3:16-17; II Pet. 1:21).
Salvation: We believe that a man must acknowledge he is a sinner (Rm. 3:10, 23; Eccl. 7:20), that his penalty for sin is separation from God in a literal hell (Rm. 6:23), that Christ paid the ransom for his sin (John 3:16-18; Rm. 5:8), and that he must repent and place his faith in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness of sin and eternal life in heaven.
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Mtt. 3:17; 14:33; I Jn. 4:15). We believe that He was born of a virgin (Is. 7:14; Mtt. 1:18), lived among man on earth (Jn. 1:14), died a substitutionary death on the cross to pay the penalty for man’s sin (I Cor. 15:3; II Cor. 5:21; Heb. 2:9), rose again the third day showing power over sin and death (Rm. 6:4, 9; I Cor. 15:4), and ascended into heaven where He sits on the right hand of the Father ever living to make intercession for His children (Acts 1:9; Heb. 7:25; I Pet. 3:22).
Prophecy: We believe in the pretribulation rapture of the Church (I Cor. 15:51-52; I Thess. 4:16-18). We believe Christ will catch His Bride away before that awful time of judgment – the tribulation.
We believe in the premillennial reign of Christ. We believe in the literal reign of Christ on earth for one thousand years following His glorious, visible return to earth. We believe that during this Kingdom period the promises given in the Old Testament to the nation Israel will be literally fulfilled. They will be restored to their land, and Christ, their Messiah, will rule over them.
